It all started with the drop cloth which is easy to use and it is CHEAP! It costs approximately $13 for 60 square feet. I That’s a lot of pillows and or whatever else you plan on using it for. I already have another project in mind for the leftover fabric but that will have to wait until we are settled in to our new house.
Next part was measuring and sewing, and quite honestly, I have little patience with that so it’s not exactly perfect measurements but it worked. The tutorial above explains how to do it so I won’t go into details BUT it is so easy!!
I decided not to use the numbers for two reasons: First, I didn’t have a number stencil that big lying around and second I wanted the pillows to be a little more personal. So I went with the street names that we have lived on for the last 12 years. There are actually 5 of them and as you can see I only finished one street and the last pillow with “home” represents our future
and it better be the last home.
The only other thing is that I used craft paint and I should have used fabric paint. I have no idea what will happen when I wash the covers so I’m going to wait to get the right paint for the remaining pillows to be made.
Thanks for dropping by!
