I’m procrastinating again…this time about paint colors. I’m so scared to make the wrong choice that for some reason I believe that making no choice at all is a better alternative.
I have some ideas, I mentioned Gray Owl by Benjamin Moore in an earlier post and I am certain I want that color. Now, where? What rooms? Do I lighten it by 50% or leave it as is? I also love this color by BM…Gray Cashmere. But same questions arise.
I do know that I want Simply White for all the trim because the kitchen cupboards are that color and it’s a nice white. It doesn’t have any blue undertones and just looks, well…simply white.
I’m leaning towards a beige color too. I’m not sure why though because I really don’t like it all that much. I mean I like it but I want to get away from it. We’ve lived in a sea of brown/beige tones and I’ve always said that I have a physical reaction to paint colors. Seriously, I do. The darker the color, the more blah I feel. I need light colors in my home since this is where I will be spending tons of time. It doesn’t meant that if you have brown walls in your home and I visit, that I’ll slip into a depressive state. I know that everyone has their own taste and if you like dark, then cool but I want to be surrounded by light most of the time.
I still have a couple of days to think about choosing the colors. I know that I will stick to the white/gray/blue/greige colors. In the meantime, here are some pics of the new dining room window.
If you have any suggestions, feel free to leave a comment and let me know!
Thanks for visiting.
