I cannot believe that the holidays are over and I am back to work on Monday morning. I know we all say how fast they fly by (they do by the way) but this year was especially busy. It just seems that there was always something to do, to cook or to clean. Man I did a lot of cooking, which means a lot of cleaning…blah!
I feel ready to go back to work and I feel a new-found sense of hope for the new year. Teaching can be very demanding and this Fall seems to have wiped me out more than any other of my 12 years. But with that having been said, I am staying positive that it will be a great 2014 and I look forward to the challenges(not too many please) that lie ahead!
I am choosing Joy this year. I am really going to make a conscious effort to think happy thoughts when times get tough and I am faced with certain issues. I am choosing Joy!(repeat several times in my head on a daily basis). I hope that you also choose Joy or whatever else makes you happy this year.
Cheers to a New Year and a new perspective!
Here is how I made my “I choose Joy” sign. It’s painted on a drawer front(sliding) from an old cabinet that was in the house when we bought it.
