1950’s dresser make-over part 1

This is the piece that we got on Kijiji and paid $60 for. I’m not really into vintage furniture but this dresser was exactly what we needed for our living room. I needed something long but not too wide and this was it! I haven’t figured out exactly what to do with it yet. I might paint it all, paint only the drawers or sand the entire piece and let that wood grain shine through. More pictures to follow as I get more work done. I sanded 6 drawers today and I’m still unsure what to do with the finishing. If you have any ideas, please leave a comment. I love getting comments.

Here is what it looks like(not the real dresser as I forgot to take a before picture).

Our dresser looks like this except it's not as curvy.

Dresser drawer before and after. I was so happy to find wood under that stain and not laminate.

Finally a sunny day and I'm able to sand this thing!

Closer view. I got this sander as my mother's day gift last year. I thought it was one of the best gifts ever! I love it!

I was happy to see this today too. I had no idea it was Canadian made. it's a good solid piece with nice tongue and groove in the drawers.
