Happy December friends! I am so excited to be entering the Holiday Season and equally excited to share this makeover with you.
I bought this cute little number as a set with a bigger dresser (you can read about that here) that I made over and sold to a nice little family where it now sits in a Nursery for a sweet baby boy.
This is what it looked like the day I brought it home.
Are you digging that orange paper in the drawer? The Mac Tac covering up the beautiful wood grain that I was about to expose? Yes. That. I know. Luckily, it peeled off really easy and with a bit of sanding, I was able to see the potential waiting underneath all that sticky mess.
I didn’t take any pictures of the process but I can tell you what I did. I sanded the top and see what was under there? All I did after I sanded was to add Hemp Oil. That is all. I did wet sand with fine grit paper and that was all.
I used a combination of Miss Mustard Seed’s Shutter Gray and Bergere to achieve this custom color. I love the soft grayish blue color that it made. I sealed it using Hemp Oil and it that was it. . I loved it so much that I kept it. I never keep pieces that I re-finish. Okay, I rarely keep my own pieces. I did sell one that I had and replaced it with this one. I think this one will rest in my bathroom for a long time.
Thanks so much for visiting. I’m always so grateful to see that you’ve taken the time to read my posts and leave comments. It means a lot to me, so thank you. I love hearing from all of you.
